Do you know when you have that gut feeling when you are absolutely sure that something is going to happen, your body senses it, and you feel butterflies.    

Your mind takes this message, this gut feeling, and acts as if it’s already happening and your body reacts accordingly.

We all have different experiences, and our circumstances may differ, but each and every one of us aim to be happy, to actually feel happiness. That starts with our mindset! Do you want to know how?

Step 1. First thought every morning

Think to yourself every morning: “Today is an amazing day” and physically feel it, just like you would if it was your birthday or the New Year’s Eve!

Step 2. Be persistent

Throughout the day keep reminding yourself, even when you have setbacks or obstacles. Keep feeling it. Your mind will be calmer, and you’ll have the ability to resolve everything with the right mindset.

Step 3. Make it a mantra

If you make this your life mantra, you’ll notice that actually everything is so simple and it’s so easy to make things go your way.

How to control your Thoughts

It’s amazing the millions of thoughts that can fit in just one second of our lives, isn’t it?

It can become overwhelming when we just can’t control the number of thoughts that poor down like Niagara Falls!

It becomes a problem when they just don’t stop, and it’s keeping you from sleeping, from resting properly.

The great news is that you can control this, all of it!

When gaining control of our thoughts, we gain control of our lives!

Like everything else, it takes willingness, and it takes practice.

For me, it works wonders when I started to change the way I perceived life.

I hope these steps will help you get there, just like they help me!

1.Mindset

Start by making a change in the way you deal with your challenges.

Become conscious of your ability to overcome any situation, you can face and overcome everything that might come your way!

You can change your life by changing your focus! Think positive, act positive!

Trust yourself, trust your thoughts, trust your knowledge, your skills!

Don’t let doubt set in, always imagine positive outcomes!

2.Control Negativity

When imagining different outcomes in a particular situation, have you noticed that our mind tends to jump to the worst case scenario, the one that is just impossible to happen! The fact is that we always imagine the worst.

From now on, cut every negative thought by the root, replace it immediately with a positive thought. At first, you will feel resistance, you’ll have to force your mind to make that change, but by doing it consistently, your mind will start making this change in a natural way!

3.Let it Go!

When you set a goal, fill it positive thoughts, outcomes, create strategies, make a list with all you need to do to achieve that goal, and then just act on it! Don’t over-think, just let it go, let it happen. Don’t worry about how, just work for it, overcome the obstacles that naturally occur in any situation, and then just let the universe work to your favour!

4.Train your mind.

To make a change you must first practice it, and then you master it, right? You must practice, train your mind, on a daily basis, for positive thoughts only, even when facing a negative situation, look for a positive outcome, or for a different solution, just trust that there is always a way!

Train your mind not to think. This is a challenge! When you start to master it, you feel a major positive impact in your life!

Every night, before going to sleep, put your headphones and listen to some calm music to fall asleep. Stop thinking during that period. There will be some resistance at first, but by pushing it trough you will make it! You will feel all of your body relaxing, and you will be able to start experiencing quality sleep, your body and your mind are finally resting!

You have the ability to control your thoughts, and consequently controlling your emotions, controlling what you allow in your life!

You have this amazing power, that can actually change the way you live, the way you treat other people, and the way you allow other people to treat you!

Make it simple! Living is simple, go back to basics, find your purpose, be consistent. We don’t have dreams, we have goals!

How to Keep a Balanced Body and Mind

Life is so much easier when everything flows, right?

Sometimes it just happens, but there several tricks that will help you to keep this harmony in your life!

Start creating new habits and the results will bring an enormous positive impact in your daily life! Ready to change?

1.Sleep

This is very important. Make sure your body and mind rest at least 8 hours per night. When properly rested, your mind is fully aware, your actions and decisions become sharper, everything is clearer, and your more tolerant, and this can make a difference in your daily life when dealing with our daily challenges.

2.Self-care

Wake up earlier than you usually do. Start creating your morning ritual, take your time, make it “your time”. Dress for success! Use that makeup to highlight your beauty, this is valid to men as well!

When you love yourself, you gain confidence, you feel secure, and you pass that image for everyone around you!

3.Positive affirmations

Every morning, before getting out of bed, and every night, just before going to sleep read your positive affirmations. You can select the ones that make sense to you, the ones that are related to the aspect of your life that you want to improve!

Reading them frequently will help you to interiorise them, and day by day you will be with a more positive mindset. I wrote a post about Positive Affirmations. I’ll leave here the link.

4.Write down all your goals

Every day, go to a quiet place and write down all of your goals. The short time goals, the longtime goals, your daily goals!

Imagine yourself as if you already achieved them, Take the time to retain that feeling, that amazing feeling of achievement!

During the day, if something is upsetting you, go immediately to that happy place in your mind, feel your body reacting to that positive thought!

5.Listen to music

Music has the ability to touch our feeling right through our soul, right? Listen to your favourite ones, the ones that make you dance and jump, the ones that make you want to conquer the world!

You can do this with your loved ones, and create amazing memories!

Keep always in your mind and in your heart, you are a beautiful person that deserves the best!!

How to Quit Smoking for Good!

After 30 years of smoking, I decided to quit for health reasons.

I quit smoking a year ago but I didn’t reduce the number of cigarettes per day, I simply stopped. And I’ll explain the method I used to make it work.

I want to disclaim this is no scientific method, there are no studies on it, and I am not an expert in this area, I’m just simply sharing with you what worked for me and hopefully it will help you quit smoking as well.

Step 1: Quitting for the right reasons

Be assertive why you want to quit smoking. Make sure you’re doing it for you, for your health and to improve yourself. This will make you more persistent, and you’ll achieve the results you’re looking for.

Step 2: Understand the importance of your mind

Addiction makes your body overpower your mind. What you want to change is exactly that. You want your mind to determine what your body actually needs.

Step 3: Trick your mind (placebo effect)

This will sound a bit odd but trust me, it works!

Whatever message you send to your mind it will have an impact on your body. Whether it’s true or not. By constantly sending messages like I just had a cigarette and it was great, or I’m so sick after smoking so many cigarettes, or I just had a cigarette I won’t have another one.

Step 4: Acknowledge the immediate consequences

First of all, your clothes, hands, and hair won’t have the scent of cigarettes any longer. Your skin will improve drastically. And the most important one, you’ll no longer feel out of breath so strongly.

How to Overcome Sadness

Have you ever took the time to count how many seconds, minutes, hours, and even days you wasted, just feeling sorry for yourself?

The truth is that we all have spent too much time doing this, it’s only human!

The question is, do you know how to go from there, how to turn the table, change the vibe?

Fact: life is too short and too amazing to be wasted on self-pity!

So, change it now!

This is how you do it, ready?

1.Is it worth it?

Of course not! Nothing is worth throwing your precious life to waste! Whatever the situation, you have the power to overcome it, it’s a matter of mindset!

You are able to overcome any sadness, or disappointed, ever a lost, trust me, you are able to move on. It’s absolutely vital for you to realise that you don’t deserve anything less than perfect! You deserve all that life has to offer, and it’s waiting for you to act on it!

2.What defines you

It’s very important for you to get this message into your system, that situation that is making you feel like this does not define you!

You are a wonderful person, going through a difficult time! You are not an unemployed person or a just-divorced person, or even a widow, you are not an ill person, right? You are a good person, that is going to a phase, and that is creating strategies to move on and achieving new and better goals!

3.Positive tribe

When we experience these moments, it’s very important and helpful to be surrounded by people that really love you. Look for that positive friend that is there for you, giving you that boost of strength and confidence!

4.Be You!

Make sure to keep true to yourself! You are unique, with your character, your humour, your particular way to do everything, that’s what makes you so special!

Don’t give up, keep fighting, keep going, have a positive mind and attitude!

I know that there best is yet to come!

The Best Baby’s First Year Book

As a single mum, I had to make some difficult choices, so that I could give my baby girl a comfortable and secure life. So, when my daughter was 3 months old, I had to put her in nursery school because I had to get back to work.

All the minutes of the day that we spent together were precious, and by the time that my baby felt a slip, I would fall a slip as well. Unfortunately, I didn’t register any milestone or amazing moments of my daughter’s first year of life!

At this nursery, my daughter had a teacher that was absolutely amazing! She would give me my baby’s daily record, and she did it by heart! What she ate, how she felt, who did my baby play with, and she took pictures!

For Christmas, she gave me this beautiful and priceless gift! The first-year book of my baby girl!

This was the best gift ever for me!

She had registered everything! My daughter’s daily meals, what was she feeling like, with pictures, she even made in a small scale the costumes that my baby wore for carnival, for that Christmas, she reproduced the gift that I received for mothers day!

She has a picture of her first tooth!

So, for all of you that just had a baby or that are waiting for this amazing new life to be born I created a First Yearbook.

This will allow you to register everything regarding this pregnancy and first year’s life of your baby, with your story as a mum, the baby shower party, your labour, and delivery story, the birth of your baby, and so much more!

It is a gift for life, and from my experience, I can tell you that today, 19 years after, I still read it and treasure it with the same tender and sweet love that I felt, on the first day that I saw it and read it for the first time!

How to Deal with Forgiving

They say that forgiving is a selfless act, that you have a big heart and that you’re able to forgive and move on with your life.

I don’t know about you, but I had a hard time when it comes to forgiving someone that actually hurt me and had no remorse about it! It was something that was constantly weighing on my mind, that frustration, how dare they to move on with their lives and be happy after being so mean to me?

Then I read something that made total sense to me, and it changes my mind and I finally moved on!

Just so you know, I do have a good heart, just like you, but I deserve to put myself first and well as my happiness, and so do you!

This is how I deal with forgiving:

First of all, I realised that I was the one that was keeping these people that hurt me still in my life! Just by having that frustration regarding them, just by thinking that life was being unfair, after all, they were living happily, and I was irritated. That had to change!

How could I just let go it go an move on with my life?

This so easy, and it really works: Learn to forgive them in order to let them go!

This is not a selfless act, this is a purging act!

To forgive, in my perception, it means to be able to have no feelings regarding those that hurt you! This requires some work, but it’s totally achievable. Value yourself more, put yourself in a higher state of mind, look at the big picture, and as soon as you begin to have any kind of negative feelings, make sure to immediately focus on something positive about your life!

We are the ones that decide who gets to be by our side in this amazing journey!

Of course, there will be disappointments, people will fail us, just be wise enough to understand that it’s not you who has a problem, that they didn’t do this to you, they do this to everybody, it’s their lack of character, not yours!

You are a good person, with a good heart, that has the ability to understand that you are better off without that kind of people in your life!

Do this for you, because you deserve the best, and that includes the best people, so just forgive and let go!

No hard feelings, no remorse, make yourself a priority and enjoy this amazing life!

How to Deal with your Anxiety

Anxiety is nothing more than a reflection of thoughts.

The first thing to do is identify what is it that you’re anxious about. It’s future related, and the uncertainty of the outcome of that specific situation is bringing fear into your life.

After identifying the situation, you start to analyse it in a rational way. Study the possible outcomes but in a rational way. It’s the irrational thinking, that it’s illogical, that doesn’t meet any criteria, it’s building that anxiety, and it must be eliminated. Create a logical and rational thought.

1.Mindset

Accept the situation, don’t overthink and start by creating strategies to overcome that situation.

Change the way you think, get the right mindset, be positive and you will be able to control the anxiety and focus on goals to overcome.

2. Talk about it

It’s important that you speak to someone that you trust about your anxieties because it can calm you down. Having a new, fresh perspective helps you to rationalise the situation, to visualise an outcome, finding a solution. This will lower your anxiety.

If you find that it’s being a bit overwhelming for you, get professional help. It is a smart move to be guided by someone that can give you the right tools to overcome and move on with your life, feeling stronger and with the right mindset.

3. Stay busy

When we have nothing to do, our imagination has the ability to go to places, and situations that it’s beyond irrational.

So stay busy, make a schedule with your daily routines.

When you focus on your tasks your mind is distracted, busy with what you’re doing, and you’re producing, creating, moving on, feeling accomplished and this will take you to a positive mindset. You have control over your thoughts and emotions.

4. Focusing

Do this exercise daily. I know, it will sound a bit odd, but trust me, it works!

Focus on the area of your body where you feel the anxiety building up, shoulders, stomach, throat, neck, just stay focused on that spot, think of nothing else, and take deep, long breaths, inhale with your nose and exhale through your mouth. Do this on a daily bases, in a quiet place, sitting properly or lying in bed. You will feel your body starting to relax and this will help you to lower your anxiety.

5. Exercise

You don’t need to go to the gym. Take a walk, invite a friend, go outside, see people, talk to people, take your dog for a walk, do yoga, just spend body energy. Your physical anxiety will diminish.

You have all the tools you need to enjoy this amazing journey, to overcome any situation, to change your mindset, your focus. Make the right choice, choose happiness, work for it because you deserve it!

How to Create New Habits to Improve your Life

We are all constantly trying to improve our lives, improve ourselves and having this will to be better is a very good sign, it means that you love yourself!

What happens is sometimes we think about it, but we can’t seem to put our plans into practice and then we just give up. This comes with a sense of frustration because we didn’t follow through.

First of all, you must know that you are not alone. We all have this resistance to change, our mind seems to take control in a negative way, because it’s something new, and you are letting the fear of change settling in.

The good news is that you can fight it and overcome in an amazing way.

1.Mindset

First of all, you must change your mindset. You are able to achieve everything in this life! Think and visualise your goal, see yourself as if you already achieved it! You can do this.

2. Positive affirmations

Create a list of positive affirmations. Write them down and read them every morning as soon as you wake up, and in the evening, just before you go to sleep. Make this consistently.

3. Daily basis

Regardless of the new habit, you implementing in your life, you must repeat it at least for 21 days. It takes 21 days for any new habit to stick! So, I know that you are a fighter, just do it!

4. Fun

Make it fun! It’s not an obligation, no one is forcing you. You are doing this for you! To improve yourself, to get better, to feel better because you deserve it! So, make sure that it’s something that is bringing a rush into your daily life!

I’m sure you are going to succeed because you are resilient, you work hard every day, you are starting to see yourself better and better every day!

When you put your mind and your heart, when you focus and when you organise your life, when you set a goal and work for it, you achieve every goal that you can dream of! Make it happen and be very proud of who you are!

How to be on top of Everything with a Newborn

Mothers of this amazing world, I’m absolutely confident that we all can relate to this topic, right?

When I say mother, I mean parents in general, of course!

You have the most important and challenging responsibility of your life, raising an amazing human being!

When my baby girl was born I thought that I was ready, because I read and saw, and heard every subject that was baby related… and then I was a brand new mother!

My daughter was very small, under 3 kilos, and I was terrified!

Like you, I took a day at a time, getting to know each other, creating new habits, trying to figure it all out.

Because it was just my baby and I, I had to be resourceful. I created schedules, so that I could give full attention to my baby and to keep track of my household at the same time.

For me the hardest part was the schedules, keeping track of my daughter’s sleeping hours, the feeding hours if she was taking some medicine in case of a fever, or because of her teeth that were starting to burst. I really struggle there for a while.

The good news is that we overcame every situation, we bonded in a very sweet and special way, mainly because we were each other only family, but the fact is that we are truly a united, unbreakable and amazing family!

I recently made a mum’s planner, keeping in mind the bumps that I had along this awesome journey.
